Old American style, or maybe even "shabby-sheik".
I refinished this peice in 2013 after retreiving from the trash!
Top was stripped, intensely sanded, stained with MinWax "Early American" and then topped with three coats of polyurethane.
I first strengthened the four leg attachments, then applied two coats of Maison Blanche "Mardi Gras" Chalk Paint to the bottom.
