Old American style, or "shabby-sheik".
This is the first piece of furniture I ever made from scratch and was a 2014 Christmas gift for my wife!
Made from native pine and assembled here in my workshop in Malta, NY.
Top is laminate pine board, stained with MinWax "Early American" and topped with three coats of polyurethane.
Base was first treated with white primer, then I applied two coats of Maison Blanche "Baguette" Chalk Paint.
Next I lightly distressed the surface and finished with Maison Blanche "Antique Wax".
While this piece is not for sale, I have the materials and ability to build a replica upon request!
