On a beautiful Columbus Day weekend in the Autumn of 2008, I took a kayak trip to the northern end of Lower Goose Pond, through the narrow passage and into the undeveloped, natural sanctuary that is Upper Goose Pond. It was like going back in time into this amazing preserve where nothing but the birds and wind are the only sounds being heard and the images like the one pictured here are what your eyes behold. It was a perfect day and the Autumn colors where in perfect display!
